I have a new house with an indoor pool with a spa. Everything was working fine for a couple of months. We just had the pool and spa replastered and a bunch of things have gone seriously wrong.

1) we noticed the spa water level dropped after being filled post-plastering. Having been warned about keeping the water above the tile or water lines could appear, we refilled ASAP (total of 6 inches or so).

2) next morning the spa filter was on and spa was overflowing. The returns were on in the spa, but the drain was on in the pool instead of the spa. Actuators have been working fine since then, so I hope they just accidentally turned off the pump actuator. Bizarre occurrence, but if we had been gone, that could have been a disaster. Thankfully we caught it within 20 minutes.

3) spa continues to lose water every day. Plumbing is shut off. They can't locate the leak. Recently tried what they thought would fix it. It has slowed, but it still leaks. I'm hoping it is the light (seems to be their area of interest as it has been taken apart.

4) and finally, this weekend we noticed the filter wasn't on when it was supposed to. System said on, but nothing was working. Found that the breaker was tripped. When I reset it, the impeller motor made a buzzing noise and the breaker tripped again. Pool people said the windings were shot?

I don't know what to think. This company is VERY well recommended and is trying hard to make this right. But first the flooding, then the leak and now the impeller motor, I don't know if this is a "stuff happens" or if they did something to screw my pool up. Seems odd that this all just happens after we get everything replastered.

Is it possible that pool debris caused the motor to burn out? There was a bunch of debris in the basket. Impeller moves freely now, but it still buzzes and trips.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
