    Default HTH Kit ?

I have the 5 way HTH yes kit and says it tests for TC. Is there any way of using this kit to test for FC or CC? When determining how much bleach to add can I use my TC reading in place of the FC reading in Bens Best Guess Chart?
    Thanks

I thought that kit tested FC, TC, PH, Alk and CYA?

This is the one from Walmart, right?

I sure hope it does, cause it's the one I plan on getting (if I can find it) until Ben's becomes available again.

I got one of these kits from Walmart a few days ago. It is for TC, Bromine,PH,CYA, TA - maybe something else, Im at work and cant recall, but I do know there is no mention of FC or CC in the instructions. I was very disappointed. Looks like it will have to be Bens kit if you want all the numbers.

The last time I checked, the hth kit tested for TC, pH, Alk, CH, and CYA. No way to check for FC/cc.

Yes that's correct - I bought the HTH kit to tide me over until Ben's kit arrived (which it did). It has the OTO test for chlorine so you're just getting the total chlorine reading.

Ben does sell an FAS-DPD test kit on the poolsolutions site for chlorine which might be a good supplement to the HTH kit if you don't want to spring for the whole PS234.
