    Default Replaster IG Pool Cost?

Hi all, I've been researching on and off the past few years for solutions to our aging inground gunite pool. we bought our home two and 1/2 years ago and were told it needed to be replastered then, and it's looking worse now. The pool is roughly 16'x36' with the deepest point being 8 1/2 ft, roughly 36,000 gallons.

We decided that painting is not a good option and we'll have to bite the bullet and replaster. Being in Seattle, there aren't many pool contractors so I wanted to get your thoughts on this first quote that I received. It seems high to me but I'm not completely sure. I appreciate any advice and feedback you can provide. Thank you!

    Chemicals are additional to balance.

I'd get a second estimate. Not knowing anything about the process to apply the Krystalkrete materials it sounds high.

I have a pool of similar size but not as deep (6' max end) and had it re-plastered with just plaster (no fancy stuff) for about $3500.00 4 years ago.

Living in Az I'm sure the competition keeps the price down a bit but $20K sounds like a LOT of money for that job.

I'm not familiar with Krystalkrete either. Basic white plaster your pool would be about $5,000. A BeadCrete material (very high end) would run about $8,000. Those are Oklahoma prices though. Still, their bid seems out of line.

The scope of work listed is good and what you want. I've never seen anyone specify max number of return visits through. Kind of odd.
