How do you calculate the best deal on chlorine? If I know the % of chlorine and cost per gallon how do I determine what is the best buy. Here are a few example prices to figure on. 6% @ $1.99, 8.25% @ $2.49, 10% @ $3.75.

The cost of the actual chlorine per oz is:
Cost/Oz CL = Price / (Jug oz * Concentration)
so for each of those
$1.99 / (128 *0.06) = $0.26/oz
$2.49 / (128 *0.0825) = $0.24/oz <-- Best Deal
$3.75 / (128 *0.10) = $0.29/oz
This will work for non-standard jug sizes too.

To simplify the calculation in the store on a phone or calculator... It's price / oz / %
So to use the previous example... $2.49 / 128 / .0825 = $0.24/oz
And as long as price is first, it doesn't matter which order you divide the other two variables.
