Help converting from pool store chemicals to the BBB way of maintaining my pool

I have been fighting a yellow algae problem for about 3 weeks. Just when I think I have everything clear I see yellow spots on my stairs and yellow dust when I brush the pool. I have been heavy shocking my pool with the pool store shock. I use Algacide 50, Clarifier and Phospho. Can someone help me.

In order for someone to be able to help, we will have to see some current water testing results taken with a drops-based kit (no test strips). Make sure that your CYA level is one that you report. What are the ingredients in the shock you are using? Also, give us some details about your pool and equipment.
