I plan to replace my 1 hp poop pumw with a variable speed pump, such as the Hayward Max-Flo VS. I would like to us the VSP to run my Polaris 180 pool cleaner, as well. I would run the VSP at high speed for about an hour a day for the cleaning. But, I'm not sure the VSP would create enough pressure at high speed to power the Polaris.

The old configuration is:
-1 HP pump feeds filter and suction side of Polaris booster pump.
-Pressure between pump and filter runs between 10 and 18 psig, depending on how clean the cartridge filter is.

Have you see this done, and how should I configure the plumbing?
