Another cloudy water issue. When I opened the pool this spring there was a lot of algae – I treated the algae and vacuumed to waste – the algae is now gone, the ph , alkalinity and chlorine levels are good, filters are clean. But the water is still cloudy. When I start the pumps a stream of white flows into the pool from the supply lines for almost 5 minutes? Changing and cleaning filters does not mitigate this.
Also when I swim foam bubbles form on the surface for a few seconds. I suspect this is some algaecide residue – is there any way to get rid of that?

If you have cloudy water, you should only be shutting the pump off to backwash. Run it 24/7 until the water is clear.
