    Post fixable leak?

I have a 24' AG pool. Last fall noticed a puddle of water on the ground outside the pool. Figured their was a leak in the liner and that was why I had to keep adding water. Assumed liner would need replaced for next season so ignored the pool til spring. Water only went down several inches below skimmer. Spring comes and couldn't find any tears above water line and decided to put more water in. Resealed around skimmer and return. Filled it up and didn't see any leaking so decided to let good enough alone. (it needed major cleaning - very sorry I had ignored it last fall) Now the puddle has returned, not just wet ground, a puddle I can squish in. I also see a spot of upward flow of water and sand. Have any idea if the leak is on the bottom or side? Does this sound like a fixable leak?

The temperatures rose very high this week. Don't know if that factors in with the puddle returning. We also use a lil shark automatic sweeper that tends to get stuck and I read that that can wear out the lining. Also the bottom is not very smooth. Pool was here when we bought the place several years ago. Whoever put it in didn't do a very good job. Am going to hop in this afternoon and see what else I can find out. What should I look for?

The only thing I could see from the inside was the seam and under it a 4 in diameter depression guessing about an inch deep. Think it might be coming from there?

Have you tried using food color in the area you think the hole is?
Maybe a new liner and pool bottom is your best bet.
