    Default Low PH

    Just trying to get my account started and haven't read all I need to yet.
    I cannot get my PH level up but will research more.

    Tell us about your pool and equipment.

    What all have you added to the water? (Ingredients, not product names.)

    Can you give a current set of testing results taken with a drops-based kit?

    1. Buy a NEW cheap local OTO / phenol red (yellow / red drops) and test your pool. Teststrips -- especially last year's test strips = "guess-strips". Report what you find.

    2. Regardless, if your pH is below 7.0 (yellow pH drops solution), add 1 box of borax (slowly, via the skimmer, pump ON) every 4 hours. Test and repeat if the pH is still below 7.
