The blue bubble cover is a solar cover and is to help keep the pool warm. The over the edge tied down tarp is used if you decide to cover the pool in the winter.

Is a blue plastic bubble tarp (I don't know what they are actually called) better than an over the edge, tied-down tarp? We have an above ground pool - 30x15x52. Thanks!
