I am a new owner of an Intex 16x48 above the ground pool. This is my first pool ever and I was very nervous about getting the water right. There are lots of good posts on here that have helped me out a ton! This is the second week that we have had our pool up and so far so good.

I have the HTH 3 way kit. I purchased the HTH Pop-Up Pool Start-Up and Maintenance Kit. I need to get the 6 way test kit. My chlorine is 5 and my ph is 7. I am having a little trouble keeping the ph right.

The test kit that we recommend is the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C and you can find it in the test kit link in my signature below.

You want your pH to be between 7.2-7.8. You can add a little 20 Mule Team Borax (laundry aisle at Walmart) to raise it if needed. Probably start with about a half a cup added slowly. A few hours later, retest pH and add a little more if needed.

What is in the start up and maintenance kit? Give ingredients and not just product names.
