    Default Heritage Pools

    Hi,

First post. My usual plan when starting a new venture is to find the forum that has the info first. We're looking at a pool package from Sams Club. It's the Nautilus by Heritage. Anybody have experience with this supplier. Pool is 18x33 above ground with a 1 HP sand filter with Hi Flo pump. I will add some type of cleaner and solar cover right away and plan to build a partial deck next summer.

    Thanks
    Darrell

Hi, Darrell, and welcome to the Pool Forum! Sorry that I know nothing about this pool. Maybe once your post gets moved out of the Getting Started section of the forum, it will be seen by someone who does.

What is the volume of the pool? How big is the sand filter? A 1 hp pump paired with a small sand filter may not be a good match. In the case of pool pumps, bigger is not better. if your pump is too powerful and your filter too small, sometimes debris is simply blown through the filter media (sand, in this case) and nothing actually gets filtered out.
