ppm calculation seems off
I have used a leaf master to get lots of algae and leaf 'sludge' out of my above ground pool and now need to start to clean. I have seen that (after measuring/adjusting pH) 1 ppm of hydrogen peroxide works well to start the process. So:
128 oz. / gal x 8,000 gal = 1,024,000 oz.
Does that mean that I need 1 oz. of hydrogen peroxide per 1,000,000 oz in my pool??? That doesn't seem right! Do I have to calculate in the % of my hydrogen peroxide?
Same with chlorine: 10 ppm = 10 oz. ???
Thanks for any guidance!
