you can add it all in one shot, I SLOWLY pour mine.. as if a splash gets on your close, it will burn you, also try to stand UPWIND If possible.. the fumes of that stuff is not fun to inhale.
also 7 is too low of a ph, I would aim for 7.4-7.6
I upgraded our above ground pool to the intex 16 X 48 with the SWG and filter system. The pool was filled with well water that it high in iron. We have managed to keep the PH and TA ppms in range with our old system but with the SWG I was having a difficult time reducing PH and TA with dry acid so I purchased muriatic acid.
I need to know, do I add the muriatic acid all at once or stagger it? Based on the pool calculator with the following PPMs:
PH 8.4
TA 250
( These values were obtained by HTH Test kit (not the strips) , I have ordered the K2006 )
It states I should add 49oz of the 31.45% - 20 Baume to reduce the PH to 7.
