I am currently building a pool in my back yard. I am cement contractor 30 years + I have never owned a pool before or built one but very excited to have one. Just wanted to introduce myself Curt

Hi, Curt, and welcome to the Pool Forum! How exciting to be building a pool. We don't have as much advice about the building part but can help a lot with the chemistry part. Do a lot of reading here on the forum (especially the stickied threads at the top of each subforum) and also on our sister website www.poolsolutions.com. (Until your registration is completed, you will have to log out to be able to read the rest of the forum, however.)

Also, go ahead and order a good test kit. The one we recommend is the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C which you can get through the link in my signature below. (You can't buy it locally.)
