    Default Kiddie Pool Chemicals

We have a larger kiddie pool and want to try and keep it set up for more than a day with out algae and yuckiness. We may follow some of the guidelines set up on a faq page I saw, but I have a question about the chemicals and the grass.
If we change this weekly, we need to drain it into the lawn. Will the dichlor / algaecide/ bleach etc, damage the lawn? Should we just deal with it and not put anything in the water? Or are the levels low enough that they will not cause a problem?

The pool is a snap set pool, circular 8 ft in diameter approx 11 inches deep. ( I know, tiny compared to a lot of you guys!)

As long as you're within the normal ranges for bleach, it shouldn't be a problem on the grass.

BTW, Dichlor is basically bleach + cyanuric acid in one. You won't need both dichlor and bleach; one or the other will do what you need. Just make sure you dose appropriately. If I calc your dosage properly, it's only about 9oz of regular household 6% bleach or 1oz of dichlor to get you to 3ppm FC in the water volume you describe.

You should read these two docs before you get started:

Thanks, that is super helpful and I did see those. But it is nice to "hear" it from a real person, you know?
