    Default New pool

I think I just lost my mind, as if making sure the kids are takin care of and fed isn't enough I just spend $5300 on a pool!!!!!!Well I got to admit I'm pretty excited about it too..Any way I bought a 54" X 30' and went top of the line on everything, I have read several places that I should be using a low HP pump...The pump I got was 2 hp 2 speed, do I have any worries with this???? if so the installer will be out on the 20th to install and maybe I can trade it new for a small one, any advice on this???? Thanks ....By the way price was wrong I forgot the $1000 for the installer and the $200 for sand soooo I'm into it for about $6500

Congrats on you new soon to be pool!

Tell us about the filter and the pump - brands and models numbers. It's a good thing that it's a two-speed, you may never need the high speed. Also, tell us about the drains and returns - standard AG pool kits have one skimmer and one eyeball return.

Either way, while your waiting for the pool, start reading the guides and tips on poolsolutions.com and the stickied threads in the chemistry forums here (you probably need to log out).
