Why do you want to add the Baking Soda? To raise TA? 70 is a little low by most standards but if the pH is stable, I'd leave it alone.
My ph is 7.6 and my alk is 70. If I add baking soda, won't it raise my ph? I was going to add 6 lbs to my 22,000 gal pool. Is this what I should be doing?
Thx!
Paige

As long as your pH is pretty stable, an alk of 70 is close enough.
If ch and ph are good wont the rest fall in line?
