    Default ph and alk balance

My ph is 7.6 and my alk is 70. If I add baking soda, won't it raise my ph? I was going to add 6 lbs to my 22,000 gal pool. Is this what I should be doing?

    Thx!

Why do you want to add the Baking Soda? To raise TA? 70 is a little low by most standards but if the pH is stable, I'd leave it alone.

K I won't add anything. Just thought the alk should be a min of 80

    Thank you for your feedback!

Not necessarily. But you do need to start with those two, BEFORE you try to fix other things.
