Default Chlorine tabs vs chlorine bleach generic

After reading Some of your posts I want to know if using chlorine in jugs from the store are better than using the pool store tablets?

Many of us use bleach. It is cheap, readily available and adds the least amount of other things to the pool. It is all that I ever use in my pool.

It depends on the volume of your pool. Give us some info about the pool. Type of pool, volume, size of pump, type and size of filter. Also, tell us exactly what all products have been used in the pool, meaning ingredients and not just product names like 'shock.'

Can you supply us with any water testing numbers and tell us what you used to get them?

You need a good test kit. The one we recommend is the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C (same kit with larger bottles of reagents). You can't get it locally, but you can get it through the link in my signature below.

We will never use anything else but the BBB method for our pool. It has made maintaining a pool sooooo much easier. Again, this site has been fantastic.
