    Default Is Multiport valve supposed to click as it turns - Hayward SP0710XR50

    I just replaced mine and the first turn nice and smooth (always clockwise) now it clicks as I turn it around. Is this normal?
    This is the
    Hayward SP0710XR50 Pro-Series Vari-Flo
    DE 3620 Hayward. 16x36 Inground rectangle (1995). 7.5 ft deep end 3.5 ft shallow. loop loc cover with mesh panels

    That sounds ominous. I'd guess it's the spring clicking against the handle.

    stiff perhaps?
