Default CYA Correction factor for Total Alkalinity

In the booklet that came with my Taylor 2006C there is a section that advises applying a correction factor of .33-.35 to the measured TA value if there is adequate CYA present in the water. Currently my TA is reading 200, is it safe to consider my actual TA is 200 - (200 x .33), ie 134? Thanks, Mike

The multiplier is for the CYA level, not the TA level that you were doing. So if your CYA is 50 ppm, for example, then your adjusted TA is 200 - (50 x .33) = 183.5. However, if you use The Pool Calculator, then these calculations are done for you automatically and it will also account for salt and borates levels which the watergram does not do.
