    Default First Post - Pool Foams when Adding Shock

    30K gal, inground gunnite pool. Still shocking to bring CL level up to specs. Pool foams when shock is added. How to proceed?

    What all have you added to the pool --- meaning ingredients and not just product names. It sounds like you might have used some type of algaecide as some of them foam up in the pool. Also, what type of filter do you have and what size pump?
