I'd like to be able to set different values on the SWCG depending if the system is in pool or spa mode. Currently, my spa is overchlorinated because I can't set the value differently than the pool
I purchased my house three years ago. The pool was installed about ten years ago. I'm not sure how the previous owners handled this situation. I replaced the flow sensor on the Aquapure SWG last summer and added the extra board that came with it.
Here's an email I sent to Zodiac:
I have a Aquapure SWG controlled by Aqualink RS One Touch. I'd like to set the chlorine generator values to be different depending if the system is in pool mode or spa mode. I read through the manual for the One Touch. According to the menu structure there should be a menu item called SET CHLORINE GENERATOR. I do not have this option. Am I missing something? I'd really like to be able to control these values.
They replied:
The problem may be caused a communication error between the Aquapure board and the RS circuit board. However, if the system is functioning properly in pool mode, you can activate the spillover function from turning dip switch number three on and allowing the water to circulate through both bodies of water for chlorination. Please see the attached instructions to reset your board.
I read through the document they attached but I'm not sure if this is going to fix the problem. I don't water spilling over from the pool into the spa. I simply want to set the chlorine percentages to be different.
Thanks
