    Default Spongy ground

We are trying to get our ground level to put up a 30ft round pool and we have areas in the ground that is spongy.
I know the ground here was wet due to alot of rain this year, however it should be dry now. Could we have some other kind of issue underneath where we have dug down to? If it is just wet ground, putting some finely crusher mix rock in the areas and packing it down into the dirt would that help? The top layer of grass and about 5 or so inches of dirt has been removed for about 5 days now with no rain, and still have spongy areas.

    Please help! Ronda

    Ronda,
Do you live in an area where the water table is high? I really can't help you with your question but just wanted to pop in and say hi and welcome you to the forum. Hopefully someone will have a suggestion for you.
