    Default Slide H2O recirc question

Not sure if this is the right area for this question - hope so, if not sorry!

We have installed a replacement for our old Aqua Slide n Dive Slide with a new one by SR Smith. The water supply system is so much better than the old one was (significantly wider & tougher tubing, and no T joint to contend with).

Rather than tax our well & pump by running a water line to it from our hose (not to mnetion the temperature issues), I have been trying to figure out a safe way to use water from the pool to lube the slide - some sort of recirculation system.

One of the 2 skimmers and one of the 2 returns are each in close proximity to the slide. I thought if I could figure out a siphon system (ideal as no pumps or electric), use the return line, or use a pool cover pump in the skimmer (less ideal as there is the electricity issue) that I would have the problem sewn up.

Anyone out there have a similar or better solution?

Some of the slides I've been looking at have a fitting that connects to the pool return fitting to direct water to the slide. You may want to get one of these from Interfab.

My slide has a T-fitting in one of the return lines plumbing with a hose running right to the slide. Of course, pump must be running for water on the slide, but I also installed a shut off fitting at the slide to turn it off when not in use. Works great!

I KNEW there had to be a solution out there somewhere - thanks!! What brands of slides do you both have? Do either of you have pics of the setup I can take a look at?

I just installed an x-stream slide this past weekend. I have an IG pool.
I put a three way valve in the return line just after the filter to feed the slide. I used a valve, which is more expensive than a T fitting, so I could adjust the flow to the slide. From the valve I ran 1" flexible PVC over to the slide. This worked for me although I still have to figure out a good way to disguise the ugly white hose. I also put an ON/OFF ball valve at the slide high enough so only adults can turn it on and off.

    Hope this helps

Thanks! I emailed InterFab on the part that mschumak referred to, but they said they don't have a return line fitting, that they require running a line off the pump as well. Then a dude at Leslie's Pools told me yesterday top get a threaded piece of PVC at Home Depot and run it up that way. I'd really like to see an image of the T-fitting - as well as the line direct from the pump. The hose assembly that came with the slide has a valve at the end of it, so at least there's one less thing I need to get.
