I have a Hayward Swim Pure + and when I turn it on (using the breaker) the following occurs:
1) Red "No Flow" Light starts flashing
2) After ~ 2 minutes "No Flow" Light will turn off
3) Immediately the Green "Generating" Light Turns on but only for a few seconds
4) Finally all lights turn off.
At no time does the digital display change.
Flow Sensor Inspection:
1) I removed the flow sensor in order to inspect it Model q-12ds-c2
2) I found that "both ends" of the metal strip were attached to the plastic spindle
3) I had a photo of a new sensor emailed to me for comparison (by retailer)
4) Separated Metal from the spindle end furthest from threads (to match photo of new sensor)
5) Re-installed flow sensor
Results:
1) Now the "No Flow" light is Solid and does not flash as it initially did
2) "No Flow" Light remains solid continuously unless:
a) You turn the sensor 1/4 turn then it will flash (repeats initial issue)
b) If you turn it back where it was it goes back solid continuously.
Is this a sign of a bad sensor? What other ways can I diagnose this problem?
