I’m remodeling my 1979 gunite pool for the first time…really was looking bad. There will be new plaster, tiles, coping, decking, vac line, autofill, and new skimmer. Using my existing pump and filters, for now, which were replaced about 10 years ago. However my pool contractor and I are at a stalemate…I won’t go into details for now. We are trying to resolve it.

Question: Will the pool sitting empty since March 8 cause damage in some kind of way to anything? The contractor sandblasted the old plaster, no bond coat yet, the plumbing is in, the crumbling and cracking newly built bond beam (ok, I said I won’t go into details) is “installed.” No tile or coping yet. I live in Vegas, so it is hot and dry now…
