The outside walls of my 16 year old pool are corroded where the skimmer is attached - to the point where the screw holes are now gone. After purchasing and installing new, quality gaskets, the skimmer leaks significantly on the outside and possibly on the inside. Is there anything I can do to fix the corroded edges and/or stop the leak? If not, is it possible to get the larger skimmer and cut new holes. Would this affect the operation of the pool? The pool is about 10,000 gal, oval, aluminum.
