Looking for advice or recommendations for solar for AGP

Hi there,

New to the forum. Would like opinions/recommendations on a solar pool heating system for a AGP that I just ordered and will hopefully be installed sometime in July. I am not sure what you'd need to know, we may sink it halfway (not sure) at very least it will have a deep end, it's 16 x 32 x 48" deep, will have a 7' deep end. I live in Lathrop, CA.. We get about 5-6 months of warm to hot weather so May thru mid October is when I'd want the pool open to swim in. I hope that helps you help me!

Are you planning to put it on the roof of your house or somewhere less valuable? Are you planning DIY or professional installation?

I would prefer somewhere less valuable that we can do on our own, I know you can lay them on the ground but when you want to have people over and kids running around having them laying on the ground to me seems pretty inconvenient and the panels are not small so not sure how to go about installing them if I don't want to nail into my roof and don't want to lay panels on the ground all the time..

Some people have built frames to hold the panels - an option if you have sufficient sunny space.
