I think this year we will take the plunge and switch over the a salt water based pool.

We have a 24 foot above ground pool. Not worried about much corrosion as we have all plastic parts and all the bolts and clamps are stainless (what grade I'm not sure).

The question involves the resent deck that I build around half the pool. I used pressure treated wood that has been sealed, but I have heard that the little amounts of salt in the water will eventually disintegrate the wood. Also the salt will kill all the furniture on the deck and anything else the water might come in contact with.

I can rinse the deck easily to remove residual salts, but is making the switch the right move?

Thanks
