I have a Goldline/Hayward SWG and have been pretty happy with the unit. The current cell has lasted me over 7 years which is pretty good for any SWG. Another manufacture to look at is AutoPilot and the Pool Pilot. That unit seems to have a lot of features.

I can't imagine life without a SWG and has really reduced the amount of time I spend tending to the pool. As mentioned, the only downside is PH rise but both the Goldline and the AutoPilot have PH control systems that work along side the SWG if you want to go that route.
