The pool company closed our pool for the winter.

The first very cold day this year and after it had rained, we were by our pool filter area and water was gushing out of 2 pieces, the pump plug area and the swg area, where the plugs are left out..... The suction side of the pool was completely off. The return side we noted was not off.

We called them, as the amount of water gushing produced puddles in the area and didn't stop for over an hour that we saw. They sent a guy out who could barely communicate in English a few days later.

They billed us and said the pool closing was done correctly.

Only thing I saw different is he now shut of the return line.

Supposedly he checked the water table was low and none of the plugs was out.

What could cause this issue, the only thing I could think of is they didn't drain the filter and something froze and popped that then drained.

We took pictures of all the water and the area flooding.

The guy saw there was ice on both the opennings and couldn't explain the water.

Something was done wrong. It hasnt rained since then and we haven't seen any more water.

We previously owned another pool and never had this happen.

Any ideas? That much water doesn't leak for no reason.

Thanks.
