Pressure keeps going 30+

I have taken the top half of my pool filter off and hosed the filters down several times then once i start running the system i put the DE powder in and the pump will run 15 - 20 PSI for maybe 20 minutes tops then it ALWAYS goes to 30+ PSI and my G3 pool cleaner walks along the bottom so slow. What could this be?

I have found out that I have to take the filter apart and make sure that I hose down both side of the individual filters. Especialy if you had green algee. The algee cloggs the filters. Then put it together, and when you put DE back don't put the whole amount do about half of recomended from the manufactures. You can always add more later. This has happen to me when I don't feel like doing the extra work of taking it appart, so I take my chances. Now I make sure I have the time and do it right. The filter also lasts longer in being clean.
