Default How can I disconnect my pump?

I have a Pentair 340063 pump, new this year. I figured this would not be the most complex part of closing the pool, but there you go.

It's plugged into a timer and upon dismantling the face of the timer, the pump doesn't have a finished 3 prong outlet, but rather bare wires that, internally to the timer, are hooked up with wire twists, so I don't want to do it there.

I undid the plastic washer where the cable actually enters the pump housing, but didn't see an obvious way to deal with it.

I am in NY and wanted to take the entire contraption and filter head indoor so no worrying about freezing with those.

    Thanks1

Yep! Despite fancying my intellect at times I also know other times I have the mental capacity of a cat. On a whim I asked my father in law to check it out and he had it disconnected right away. I think I was missing the necessity of the twisting action
