Promatic ESC

I have a Promatic ESC when the unit reads + it's on 100 with two green lights
when it reads - it goes to 45 with two red lights this has only just started the last couple of weeks
although when the pump first comes on i have green lights on + and - the unit is approx 5 years old
i'm also getting a fair amount of chalk sedament on the base of the pool

Hi additional info that may help the full name of the SWS is Monarch Promatic ESC 24 thanks
