Good luck! You don't have any glass tables near the pool do you?
Well, we live directly in the storms path so now I guess we'll see how well the pool is constructed! This ought to be a fun ride.![]()

Heck no! I decided that glass and pools don't go together so there is nothing glass even remotely close to the pool. Only thing I'm worried about that I can somewhat control is the amount of water in the pool. I'll have to check it periodically and use the waste setting to remove the excess water. Other than that, it's all out of my hands.

Are you going to shut off / electrically isolate the pump? I don't think they're designed to work submerged.
Yes, I will be turning off power to it and only applying if I need to drain. And that will only happen as long as the pump is not under water. I appreciate all the questions/comments. Keeps me on my toes!

Yep, was thinking about you just now as I was watching the weather.....I would shock it really well Tuesday night before you go to bed, because who knows what Wed. morning will bring?
I'll be keeping close tabs on it too, since it's still supposed to be tropical storm status by the time it gets to me!![]()
Hopefully Isaac will play nice! We are supposed to be on the dry side here, which is a shame, really could use the rain![]()

LOL! That's for sure! There's never any telling what's gonna happen with these things. Every time you turn around, the forecast changes. Either way, there's no stopping Mother Nature so whatever happens, it's all out of my hands with the storm.
I thought about the shock. I'm gonna give it a real good dose of bleach tomorrow evening and roll with it from there.
If anybody else has any other suggestions, keep'em coming! You never know when something great might pop out!
Also, I'd like to thank everyone that has chimed in on this. It's really great to see the thought that people put into helping others.

If you have a solar cover on the pool, you might want to remove it as it is likely to get torn up. We had a pretty good storm this summer (the derecho that affected much of the eastern U.S. and took our power out for a full week) and during that storm, my solar cover was blown off the pool and ripped some.
