Re: Hayward H-150 Heater
According to the product manual it will do the job, but I don't think I would do it. I've got a H250 that I use for my attached SPA. It takes about an hour to bring the temp up 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I did try to heat the whole pool once and after several hours it brought the temp up 1 degree. The H250 burns about 2gal (7.5 liters) of propane an hour, and propane is very expensive here ($5 usd/gal). I'm sure it would use less once it was at the desired temp, but check your local propane prices before you make a decision. Perhaps someone else can share their opinion here.
Do you have a solar cover for the pool already? That's probably the best way to extend the season. You'll want one of these regardless of your decision on the heater.

One final note, these heaters use regular copper heat exchangers. That means you probably should not put a SWCG on the pool with this heater, as the salt would eventually corrode the heat exchanger leading to premature failure. This may not be a consideration for you, but I though I'd make you aware before you decided.
