de filter ?

installed a 24ft round above ground pool about a month ago,,,its a used pool,,has a hayward de filter,,,just started the filter and added the 5lbs of de,,,noticed that some of the de was being put back in the pool,,from the return hose,,,,is this normal? the next day there was all kinds of de at the bottom, I vacumed the pool,,(vacuming up the de) about 5hrs later i noticed the stuff (de) is again, still at the bottum of the pool. not as bad this time,,,is this normal? or is something wrong with the filter?,,,,never had a pool before, so dont know a whole lot about this

No, it is not normal. There is something wrong with the filter if DE is blowing back through it. I'm going to let one of the people who knows more about DE filters advise you on what you need to do about it.
