    Default Ground Preparation/Tree Removal

I had to remove a small tree from the area where we want to put the pool.
A hole in the ground is about 25"x40" and 11 inches deep.
What is the best way to fill it?
I would like to avoid excavating 11" to level the whole area.

Backyard is all fenced and I can not get in any big machinery.
I’m located in Toronto area, Ontario Canada.

    AG 15x25

    Thanks,
    Dusan

Where will this hole fall in relation to the pool. Will the liner sit over this hole?

I had a similar situation when I installed and it fell under my liner.

Since its a relatively small area fill it with loose dirt and use a hand tamper to pack it down. I would do it in layers. You can get some real force with a hand tamper so you can get it packed nicely.

    Dusan,

Sand will work nicely as well. It is self-compacting and very easy to level.

    Thanks for replays.

The hole is in the middle of round section. It will be under the linear.
I was also told to use crushed limestone and to put some sand on the top of it.

I don't want to be surprised once when the pool is full of water.

In the middle. Thats perfect. I would just fill and pack with sand.

tamp the sand or what ever you use down tightly.
Like maxx said "layers", if you do it a bit at a time it will compact easier and better than if you fill the whole hole and try to do it.
