Default Newbie needs help. Intex Ultra Frame 16x48

Hi and thanks in advance for your help! Here are pool details: AG Intex 16x48 Ultra Frame, 5061 gal., 1,500 gph filter pump, Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System Model CS8110 (neice gave us, she used last summer). Ground was leveled (mini excavator and transit level), then used 3/4" foam board covered with pool's included tarp, and pool was installed over that. Couple of questions at this point. Yesterday, we filled pool with about 1 1/2" of water from our well to smooth out liner bottom. Our well water goes through an acid neutralizer, then an iron filter, and finally the water softener before use. We are having the remaining water delivered by a pool water distributor within the next few days. Should we be concerned with the small amount of water standing in the pool right now? It may be 2-3 days before the remaining water is delivered and we are concerned about what could begin to happen/grow during that time. Temps have been in the high 80's to 90's. Possible scattered thunderstorms over the next several days. Any suggestions how we should be handling this? Also, we have read and printed the "Super-simple pool chemistry recipe for Intex type pools: start-up and routine care" and wondered if that can still be followed since we will be using a SWCG?

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Yes, the super-simple pool recipe can be used as is....you don't use the SWCG at first when balancing your water anyway, so you can follow that "recipe" to the point where your water is completely balanced, and your stabilizer is at the level that the manufacturer recommends for your SWCG unit--and then turn the unit on to maintain the pool from there.
