Question Nexa Pure Feedback; anyone using

I am considering going to salt and the American SPS Nexa Pure system looks interesting. Please let me know how its working/not working.

If you are not using the NP let me know what SWCG you are using and how you like/dislike it.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You may or may not get any reviews on that particular unit, but there are a lot of SWCG folks on this forum, and all have an opinion!! While you're waiting for responses, you can use the google link in my sig to search through the forum for other threads on SWCG's. Until your membership is upgraded by Ben, you'll have to log out to see the other threads, but that's only a temporary inconvenience.

    Welcome to the forum!

Hadn't heard of them . . . so did some of my standard checks. They DO have a physical address, which is good, but they have at least 5 different businesses operating from that location: solar, HVAC, SWCG, Geo-heat pumps . . . and United Marketing Assoc Inc. I'd bet on the last one being the 'real' company.

If I were you, I'd wait and see if PoolSean or somebody else knows who's unit they are selling. I'd bet THEY aren't making it!

They are also setting of one of my alarm bells in a big way. Any time any one tells you they have a "natural" solution to pool care, turn your BS detector up on HIGH, and hold on to your wallet! And, there's is NOTHING 'natural' about making chlorine via the electrolysis of salt - regardless of whether you use "Dead Sea minerals" or 'prehistoric sea minerals', from salt mines in Louisiana or Chile or wherever.

There are natural pools -- I put in a photo gallery of them here: http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?14427

But, pools and spas with SWCG's installed on them are NOT 'natural' in any legitimate sense!

When Resilience stopped making their salt generator, due to power supply failures, Nexapure (American SPS) picked up their redesigned, lower ouput systems, with a new set of clothing. UMA, as the name describes, is more of a marketing company, rather than the actual manufacturer.
The power supplies are (were?) manufactured in Israel with the Cells being manufactured in (I believe) South Africa.
They haven't done much, so far as sales are concerned, within the salt chlorine generator industry...so there's not going to be much feedback on these systems.
