Anna, trial members in the Getting Started section of the forum can't follow links yet. So, Dezzie007, to find the thread Anna was trying to direct you to, first you'll have to log out and then go to the sub-forum called "Pool Chemistry for Intex-type Pools" and look for the stickied thread near the top for the "recipe" for start up.
