Saving money on salt

Water softener solar salt is much cheaper. Just make sure it doesn't have any additives.

I used that one time and while it was cheaper, it was much coarser and seemed to take a long time to dissolve. Although more expensive, I much prefer the finer stuff.

I put mine in the skimmer and it dissolves in a few minutes with the pump running.
