Get everybody out. Remove the solids. Shock the pool. Shock level depends on your CYA level, do you know it? What do you use / have to chlorinate?
Please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place. We have an above ground, Summer Escapes, 12x36 pool. My son had an accident, it was solid, but it was released and now there are chunks and peices on the bottom of the pool. What should we do? Thanks!

What do you think I should use to remove the solids?
They have become mush by now and will prob fall apart. I dont want to get in the pool to get them? Should I vacuum, they will probably just go through the hose vaccuum net I use? I chlorinate with regular bleach.
If you can't vacuum to the filter, you might as well just
1. Raise your chlorine level above 10 ppm.
2. Run your filter 24/7.
3. Brush 3 or 4 times to stir it up.
4. Wait 24 hours to begin using the pool again. (Or, if your son is sick (upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting), wait 48 hours!)
5. Keep chlorine above 10 ppm during that period.
I'd try to use a leaf skimmer. Can you get a siphon going then suck 'em out and down the hose? - Don't drink the poo water!
Yeah, Dave. That's what *I* want to do -- start a poop siphon by mouth!(NOT!)
I'd rather just hop in and grab 'em!
Uhh, I start a siphon by filling a hose with a valves on the ends, shutting the valves then setting one end low and the other in the water them opening the valves.
But, it's like siphoning gas - stop sucking before it gets to you.
