Could be expensive but it seems it would be good for times you cannot add daily chlorine. Any thing I am not seeing or understanding?

If you want to use trichlor tabs, you want to find some that are 99% trichlor without a bunch of other junk in them. Don't buy those. (

Also, you would need to know what your CYA reading is before using trichlor tabs. If your CYA is high, you shouldn't use trichlor because those tabs also contain CYA and will cause it to continue to rise. You don't want your CYA to be too high.)
