Yes, you can use cal-hypo and bleach together. Unless your calcium hardness reading is high and then sometimes cal-hypo will cause cloudy water. Otherwise it is fine.
I have about 16 lbs of cal hypo left over from last seasons baq conversion and was wondering how i could use this in conjuction with bleach.
Is cal hypo just super concentrated chlorine. I'm starting up after a long neglectful winter and was thining i could just dump the cal hypo in there and then use the bleach as needed instead of dumping in a ton of bleach at the start.
sound theory?

naw my calcium level is actually a bit low, so I guess i'll toss some in there. thanks.
Does cal hypo affect ph signifigantly and should i put it directly in the skmmer?

Cal-hypo never affected my pH significantly, and yes you can put it in the skimmer as long as you don't have trichlor in the skimmer or in an inline feeder.
