Question Recommendations needed for CYA test

I currently own the PS233 kit, but I have run out of chemical for the CYA test. Yes, my PS234 kit is ordered (preordered on 4/5 in fact) but still has not arrived. Does anyone know of a reliable way for me to test CYA in the mean time? All I have are the dip strips and I'm not real confident in the results I interpret. Any suggestions???

See if a local pool store carries the Taylor CYA reagent. It is the same as the one in Ben's kit. The Taylor number is R-0013 and all the cross match info can be found on PoolSolutions here for the other reagents:

Leslies has CYA reagent (I think it is Taylor R0013). As far as I can tell, the CYA test is 1/2 water, 1/2 reagent. The actual amount of each probably?? doesn't matter that much, but you need enough to be able to at least partially fill your sight tube.

You have to ask for it at Leslies, it was in a different place than the other reagents for some reason. (Oops, waterbear must have posted just before me).

Thank you, thank you. I've been driving myself nuts trying to decide if the color on the test strip is more peach colored or orangish colored.... madness I tell you, just madness!!!!
