I had that problem one time, couldn't find a skimmer basket to replace the one that was broken. Just had to buy the one that came the closest to fitting it. I just had to wrap some black electrical tape around the rim to make it sit down better in the skimmer. Wasn't pretty, but..... who cares? It was a skimmer basket.
