    Default new here, what is the brand of pool

    Me and my wife are new to tx and its hot after being in wyoming for seven years, with that being said we are looking at buying an above ground pool but the resources here seem to be very limited. The one company ive found here in San Angelo seels Celebration pools and i cant find any information on them, so i guess the question is are they a good company and whos the best to go with. My dad is a contractor and we will be doing the install our selfs. just not a rich man and i want the best value for my buck.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Matt;

    If you want to swim this summer . . . you want an Intex. They actually do quite well IF you stay on top of the maintenance. And, you can go ahead and get a better pump and filter, that will serve you well if and when you go with a more standard AG pool.

    With an Intex, you can order it today, and have it running by the end of next week. With a conventional AG, it would take longer than that to buy the thing. You may have to level the ground, but I'm assuming that won't be an issue for you

    Intex pools (at Amazon):
    Intex 54979EG 24-Foot by 12-Foot by 52-Inch Rectangular Ultra Frame Pool
    Intex 56416EG 18-Feet by 42-Inch Easy Set Pool Set
    Intex 54955EG 18-Foot by 52-Inch Ultra Frame Pool Set
    Intex 54949EG 24-Foot by 52-Inch Metal Frame Pool Set
    If you want something smaller, Walmart may have some good deals.

    If you are OK with a sand filter, this combo at Amazon seems to be on clearance, and would work well with a pool up to about 17,000 gallons. Since it's a 2 speed, it would save you a LOT on electricity:
    Hayward SP15922S Power-Flo Matrix Above-Ground Pump 2-Speed
    Hayward Pro Series Top-Mount Pool Sand Filter
