    Default Calcium and hard water

I have very hard water and when I add water to the pool it raises the Calcium hardness significant (greater than 800ppm). The water gets cloudy. Are there any recommended calcium reduction techniques or chemicals

Ben (Pooldoc) has a method he's been working on to remove the calcium from high-calcium water, but he's the one that would need to explore this with you....sit tight, and hopefully he'll be by soon...

    It's done:

For what it's worth, this is the ONLY practical way to solve the problem, when your fill water is already out-of-bounds.
